Can Anyone Explain?

Why "BDSM Sexual Intercourse" has appeared as one of my subscribed feeds on Bloglines? I am going to complain about it. It was a bit of a shock when I clicked on my feeds page this morning; it was there at the top of my list! It's gone now because I deleted it, but now I'm thinking that deleting it may have activated something? Does anyone know? I am scanning with all my virus ware immediately!

It was nothing to do with a virus - the same thing happened to me so I investigated a little. Mad Sheila Musings now redirects to a website with the domain 'tax free porn'. I suggest you remove it from your feeds, as I had to this morning.

Thanks! What a shame. I knew Alyx had moved on but I forgot to remove my feed link.

Anji is correct - I noticed it this morning.

What this does is effectively gives a link to a porn site from every comment Mad Shiela Musings left at other blogs, in addition to the blogroll links and links within posts.

This is happening too frequently, I wonder if the feminist blog community should address this somehow, or make bloggers more aware of the problem and how to avoid it, as a courtesy to others.

If it's a real problem - that is, if it keeps ocurring with some frequency - a blog could be set up with notices about it.

Anyone want to step up to the plate? :)

It is a definite problem, but "blogger" doesn't want to get involved. Porn is too big now for any of us to subvert it, otherwise I'd be in there quicksmart.

One thing a lot of feminist bloggers have been doing is leaving tags, such as, "kiddie porn", "men's rights", "white knickers", etc. in the hope that someone will stumble upon a blog and actually learn something! Feminists are, at heart, optimists.

I'm not clear on how tags work? If someone enlightens me I will do the tag thing, it seems a good idea...
